The focus of this deck is to kill a minion in the villain phase, so we can draw up to 3 cards.

Play Change of Fortune as fast as possible. That's why the card has been included twice.

As soon as Change of Fortune is in play, "Come Get Me, Bub!" will bring Minions into play, which can be defeated in a variety of ways. We'll come to that later.

Every time "Come Get Me, Bub!" is played, we not only gain up to 3 life points, but also a Tough Status Card, which we can use to block the villain's attack.

How do we kill Minions?

As I said, we have several options here that give us a certain amount of flexibility. The cards were also chosen because they are very favorable for the cost curve and Gambit doesn't always have many resources in his possession.

With Under Control we can deal damage if we have blocked the attack without taking damage. This can be combined with Not Today! for example, so that we can remove 2 Threat on top of that. Or combine it with Gambit's Staff and Electrostatic Armor and we deal 6 damage just for a basic defending, that's pretty cool.

First Hit gives us flexibility again, as it can be used before the Minons attack. Combined with Gambit Throw de Card ability, we can deal 5 damage to a minion.

As soon as Warpath is in play, we can also play our attack events, such as Royal Flush or Charged Card, when a minion attacks us. So even more flexibility.

If all else fails or we don't have the right cards in hand, hopefully we already have Gambit's Staff and/or Electrostatic Armor on the table so that we can still deal up to 2 damage to a minion when defending its attack.

So if Unflappable is also in play, we can easily draw 3 cards in the Villain Phase and kill a heavy minion, just for one basic defending and not a single use of any resource!!! That's ridiculous!!!

I think Gambit might be together with Nightcrawler the best user for Change or Fortune (probably even better?) his charge allow him to boost up First hit and Powerful Punch to 5 respectively 7 damage. Combined with his Staff and Electrostatic armor I don't have think many minions survive that. The ready from his guild armor is also nice if you didn't take any damage. Have you considered Northstar over Daredevil for rounds where there is no minion and you want to reliably activate unflappable from the villains attack? Can be also nice against villainous minions

Thanks for your write up. I did consider Northstar but I realized that he had not that much of value for me because I blocked the villains attack pretty often with the 4 defense plus Natural Agility or Not Today!. Daredevil cost only 2 for 4 threat removal. After playing a few times I come to point that for me, he is the better choice. Have fun with it
