This is a Rogue minion-slaying overkill deck designed for multiplayer games. If you want to use it in solo you'll probably need to add some thwarting ability such as Looking for Trouble and Prof X.

The deck does require quite a bit of thought on each turn, as it is very dependent on the current board state and the order that specific cards come out.

This deck focusses on 3 themes to carry its weight even against Stalwart villains, as long as someone else is helping out with threat:

  1. Economy: Rogue has a tricky hero-kit economy, with 3x 3-cost Southern Cross and 5 2-cost cards that are key for her.
  2. Overkill: Rogue can gain overkill on attacks as long as there is a minion on the field, so we lean into this
  3. Adaptability: By including one-of a variety of aggression events and some allies that can stick around, we can use Superpower Adaptation to grab the best card for the current situation

To go into more detail on how each theme is supported:

  1. Economy is supported through the inclusion of mainly low-cost supports, allies and events. If you can get down all of Deft Focus, X-Gene and Martial Prowess then you're able to play Southern Cross, Goin' Rogue or Energy Transfer without spending any in-hand resources.
  2. Overkill is enhanced through 3x Follow Through. Lie in Wait and allies can help to get minions into killing range so that Rogue can use an attack to kill them and have increased excess damage flow onto the villain
  3. Adaptability: With certain gamestates, a turn can be pretty powerful, and Rogue's Touched and Superpower Adaptation help you to get the hand you need. The ideal ally line up is Gambit, Wasp & Angel so that you can pull any event in your deck, and gain access to Aerial for the rest of the turn. Once your resource generators are online you're looking for turns where you have allies & minions in play, and draw both Superpower Adaptation and Energy Transfer and then you can, for example:

Use Rogue's action to put touched on an ally. Use a basic attack or thwart (if you attack, you'll have Aerial at this point and can also play Pitchback) Play Superpower Adaptation to bring the attack event you need into your hand (or Moment of Triumph if you are low on health, as you'll probably want to defend to keep allies around), Play Energy Transfer to move Touched onto a minion, gaining Overkill and dealing 2 damage to it, healing Rogue for 2 AND readying her. Then attack, hopefully dealing boosted excessive damage. Note that if the ally was Angel or Wasp then you'll still have the Aerial trait and can also play Pitchback for more damage.

Obviously, that aggression event from Iceman's pack would probably be good here too but I don't have that
