This Deck is created with 3 or 4 players in mind and is Multiplayer focused.

Have you ever run into a situation where a friend will ask you to help defeat a minion or to take some threat off of a scheme but to help it comes at the cost of your own turn? Have you ever been the player where you want to play a more Support role rather then an active one? Well I have just the deck for you then. Welcome to the Maria Hill - Call On Me Support Deck.
For a long time playing this game I always wanted to build a healer focused deck but no hero fit the role as smoothly as Maria Hill has. Since she is able to do so much at once when set up she is amazing at enabling your friends and keeping them active throughout the game.
Let's get into how this deck plays and why it's the deck for you if you want to be the support player on the team.
First Cards To Grab
Your first turns will vary depending on what you draw but generally what you'll want to have in play before you go through your deck the first time around is The Pericles, The Circe, Nick Fury, and S.H.I.E.L.D. Director. The Iliad is a tempting early card to grab, and can work in some cases, but that is more of a bonus at this time. The other 4 cards mentioned provide great support to the team and give your supports sustain to keep them out permanently. Ideally you"ll want to get The Circe out early before Nick Fury shows up so you save resources playing him but if The Power of Protection shows up then feel free to grab The Pericles first to make use of the double resources.
Building Out The Med Bay
Going through your deck the second time is when you'll want to make the bulk of your board and adapt to the needs of the team. The Iliad will be a priority if it isn't on the field already as that can adapt to most situations. A lot of minions showing up? Grab The Bellerophon. To many side schemes? Bring out The Douglass. Avengers Mansion can be used to give players that extra card they need or Helicarrier is there to give a player a discount. Remember your role is to enable other players so support them as needed. In the meantime, you should be adding Med Team to always keep your team healthy, The Night Nurse for status conditions, and Crew Quarters for an extra bit of healing if someone joins you in alter ego since that is where 90% of your time will be spent. Make sure you are getting use out of your exhaustion each turn as well with either meditation or grabbing more supports.
Closing Out The Mission
By the 3rd pass on your deck you should be all set up so all thats left is to finish the scenario. This is when you'll be using Second Wind as it appears, bringing in any supports you may have missed, and using All-Points Bulletin as it will have big impact. Check in with your team to see what they need to get the most out of their round (don't forget you can use most, if not all, of your cards in play during another players turn as long as they request the action).
Notes and Card Substitutions
-
Your early game will be the toughest to get through. A lot of it will be only playing 1 or 2 cards per round and doing 1 action then passing. It will be up to your teammates to hold the line but you will be rewarding them for their service mid to late game.
-
Might be obvious but you will almost entirely be in Alter Ego throughout the game. You are not necessarily playing a hero but more so as someone in the chair, answering calls of help from your team. You'll be flipping mainly for Super Spies and to move counters around.
-
The Pericles and Nick Fury are a match made in heaven. In my experience I recommend having Nick Fury go into the villain phase with a tough status on him in case something attacks him or you have to last minute defend with him for you or a teammate. It's good to have the option. So this would mean Nick Fury does an action first and then you use The Pericles to give him a tough. Nick Fury ideally should stay alive the entire game.
-
This might be well known with Reinforcements but you can put the resource on any Shield Supports even if they dont use counters. So for example you can put them on cheap supports like Government Liaison, flip over to hero form, and then start moving them over to the bigger 6 cost supports.
-
Mediation (x2): You can add another meditation if you feel you need it but from my experience 2 is the perfect number. It's enough where you get it when you need it but saves a card slot for something else.
-
Second Wind (x3): 3 may a bit to much so it is possible to bring this down to 2 but the primary role of the deck is to heal and there have been plenty of times when you can heal someone back to full and have 3 in the deck helps you draw it when you need it. Early game it will be a resource but late game it will be more valuable.
-
Crew Quarters (x1): If you have another player that flips to alter ego often then it might be worth considering adding another Crew Quarters to pass to them. This can help thin out your deck while also having that player help with healing a tiny bit.
-
Government Liaison (x2): This might be odd to have since we will barely be in Hero Form and won't get much use from them but they do come in handy when 1) we flip to hero form and can still get our supports out at a steady rate and 2) used for reinforcements + All-Points Bulletin. That being said they can be reduced or swapped out entirely if you have other cards you would like to include.
-
Cards that can be added: Forcefield Generator (More protection when entering Hero Form), Leo Fitz (to help get Life Model Decoy for protection when entering Hero form), Black Widow (For some disruption on the enemy turn), Nick Fury, Sr. (For overall support and giving a tough to yourself).
This deck has been tested through both normal and expert scenarios and after some initial trial and error has brought me great success. Maria Hill has been proven to be a strong and relatively straight forward character but I have found this play style helps her bring a uniqueness that most heroes can't fit. Hope you enjoy and thank you for reading!
