Multiplayer deck for Con of Heroes 2025. Aggression deck focused on using Counterattack to trade HP with the villain. It's cyclops so he comes with a ton of fun allies.
It's a tactic, it's an upgrade. Cyclops can tutor Counterattack with his AE ability. Can take damage undefended damage to hit the villain back. Generally will flip to AE every turn so you can use your basic action to recover to stay healthy. Once Utopia is in play, you can ready yourself or a teammate. If another player will need Utopia more for their strategy, then can swap or The X-Jet or Moira MacTaggert or X-Mansion, or Helicarrier if all the unique supports are taken.
Allies
Phoenix is the main focus of the deck. Use her to find your tactics cards, Full Blast, or Ricochet Beam. The focus is to deal damage. Shuffle her back in with X-Men Instruction.
Nightcrawler and Polaris and Armor are mainly to help the other X-men at the table. They can also provide you with some damage mitigation since the deck plays a bit risky with Counterattack.
Blindfold and Gambit are amazing allies solo. They reveal the top of the encounter deck and allow you to remove one of those cards. You can see and set up the villains next 2 turns with Blindfold, and the villain's next turn with Gambit. In Multiplayer, it'll be information for the villain's activation step only.
Resource Generators
Team-Building Exercise easy card to play and helps to play your allies. Will generally have an ally to play each turn. This card helps to play Utopia as well. Enhanced Reflexes fits into Cyclops playstyle and cost curve. These cards have felt good cause they are cheap enough to get in, and they help pay for Cyclops' big turns. This deck is for multiplayer so the Enhanced Reflexes help you have the resources you need without conflicting with other players over The X-Jet. If no one else is running X-jet then swap an Enhanced for X-Jet.
Very cool deck! Never used Counterattack in Cyclops but it makes sense! I might add a Down Time if you are planning to use the basic Recovery quite a bit. Looking forward to trying this out, I'll be on the lookout for it at the Con!
