"If you like piña coladas..."
While I may not have been the first person to have thought of Adam Warlock with multiple shield Cruisers, I do believe this deck brings it all together. This deck has it all, status cards galore, thwarting, card draw , healing and a ton of resources. Once Adam Warlock is set up he might as well grab a Pina Colada and enjoy the sun, because he will have total board control.
The main focus of this deck is to make use of the Pool Triple resources and the big Cruisers- The Douglass, The Pericles and The Circe. While they may or may not be played early, Plot Convenience can be used to store them till you have the right hand for the right moment. The Pericles I believe is the single best card because it can buy you basically 4 turns of protection depending on the villain. To be able to Stun and confuse the villain and give 2 allies tough buys you sooo much time to establish board conrtol or end the fight.
Priority cards: Plot Convenience, the earlier the better because it insures you will have your big ships stored and ready when you need them. both Healing Factor and Tic-Tac-Toe are going to be important for your ability to stay at full health, while storing soul counters for later.
each ally brings an aspect of the game to the table whether its resource -Beast, stun-Iron Fist, confuse-Dazzler or boost cancels Wraith. Summoning Spell, The Circe and Call for Backup can bring them in easily.
Card draw should be pretty solid with The Sorcerer Supreme to start your turn and Spiritual Meditation as a soft mulligan. Skilled Investigator/ Mission Leader are a great pairing because they have the same trigger effect. You will also have 2 Mystic Senses to trigger per Battle Mage activation.
Resources a plenty with 6 resource cards for a potential total of 15 resources! the "pool" resource cards should be pretty easy to play for 3 resources because this deck a lots of healing and damage mitigation ability without even talking about Soul World. We also have resource generator cards like Clarity of Purpose and Bloodgem which can be offset with Healing Factor, Tic-Tac-Toe, Energy Barrier and Forcefield Generator. Quantum Magic can also snatch up resources from the discard making for some pretty efficient turns.
Player side schemes: With both Skilled Investigator & Mission Leader I thought it advantageous to add Call for Backup to play any ally & Lay the Trap to add some timed DMG to the kit, while drawing cards.
Cruise ships are best shared with friends but even solo this Pool deck is a blast,
Cheers!
