Ready for a Fight: Part II: Ready for a Preparation!

Black Widow

Part of my Ready for a Fight series of heroes, which is the best way to reframe old heroes.

Black Widow Perfect Defense is a known protection archetype, but it can now be even more perfected with using Ready for a Fight. Once you are quickly set up, you will be able to start each turn in AE, flip up with Ready for a Fight, get the Damage from your Ready for a Fight](/card/52019) preparation card, to either ping a tough, or damage a minion, setting it up for additional defense cards of Unflappable and Defense Specialist, to get 2 more cards, ready your hero with Synth-Suit, and use the other Preparation cards to trigger Change of Fortune to get even more card draw.

When you start your hero turn, you could have your original six starting hands, plus the two you gained from Unflappable and Defense Specialist, and two more from Change of Fortune. for a total of 10. Then after you do some hero stuff, when you flip down, you will be using all your Alter-Ego goodies, using Safe House #29 to get the Ready for a Fight you had previously discarded, then using Black Widow's Gauntlet to pay for the physical resource, and getting more card draw once you play Ready for a Fight, to get more preparation cards; and you have Leo Fitz to get additional preparation cards and Jemma Simmons to pay for them.

WIth Covert Ops you will likely use to get rid of side schemes, including your own perosnal side schemes. Once set up with a Ready for a Fight (/card/52019). cycle, you may never have to worry about the villain scheming.

Specialized Training to get the Defense Specialist, and Build Support so you can get Safe House #29 as early as possible to make the deck work.

Mid game you have control of the board and try to set up that minions are ready to be killed on the villain's turn to trigger Change of Fortune.

Late game, you can use Dance of Death to do as much damage. You have a free Winter Soldier. If your nemesis comes out, you must kill him ASAP since you'll have so many upgrades.

Have lots of fun!

Update: Made it to 41 careds. Get rid of the Player side schemes and Expert Defense, add two Anticipation and add Dr. Sinclair Use Dr. Sinclair to heal on AE. You can have about 20 cards out. Just keep doing damage on your defense.

Based on @Lonestar84 deck. https://de.marvelcdb.com/decklist/view/50219/black-widow-perfect-defense-1.0#19626 I lowered some of his card count, You could probably not use Build Support. I've been building different Ready for a Fight decks.;

Some changes, got deck down to 41 cards. Got rid of Player Side Schemes. Added Dr. Sinclair, to be a health battery. I was able to, once Safe House #29 was out, go back to AE every turn. I ended up having 20 cards on the table. You will max out your cards. I've added 2 Anticipation to get the readies. You almost never scheme, because you will be using Covert Ops but still flipping up to get the Protection damage to trigger Energy Channel card draw on minion damage. The best is to have a minion at 1 health, flip down to AE, and next turn flip up on Ready for a Fight, use the preparation damge on the 1 HP minion and get the 2 card draw from Change of Fortune. I've now gotten rid of Riposte so that you are using a combo of Expert Defense and "Stop Hitting Yourself", for your +4 defense, making it 7 hit, for 3 resources, plus your Dauntless and Electrostatic Armor, for a total of 9 damage! marvelcdb.com
