Introduction
When T’Challa goes to war, he doesn’t go alone, and he doesn’t go unarmed. This deck leans into a Wakandan strike team backed by Avengers muscle while embracing Wakanda’s advanced weaponry. With Firepower, Energy Spear, and even Jarnbjorn at his side, Black Panther becomes less of a surgical claw-fighter and more of a battlefield commander leading a tech-fueled arsenal.
If you’ve ever wanted to see what happens when the King of Wakanda raids the royal armory and says “Bring everything,” this is the deck.
Core Strategy
Black Panther decks often start slow. This version, however, has another angle.
Early Game
Mulligan hard for Shuri, The Golden City, or a weapon (Energy Spear / Jarnbjorn). If you find Lock and Load, it turbo-charges Firepower by fetching weapons early.
Mid Game
Build your arsenal and ally team. Your Dora Milaje (Aneka, Ayo, Okoye) keep the board under control while Hulk, She-Hulk, and Tigra bring the muscle. Firepower now has consistent fuel thanks to all your weapons.
Late Game
Once your upgrades are out, it’s time for Wakanda Forever! chains. Mix in Firepower for damage bursts, Mean Swing style plays with Panther Claws, and Jarnbjorn pings to turn every card you pitch into damage.
This version doesn’t just poke; it hits like a vibranium tank.
Allies: Warriors of Wakanda (and Friendly Brawlers)
Aneka, Ayo, Okoye, Shuri: The heart of the deck. Your Dora Milaje cycle in, provide consistent value, and love carrying an Energy Spear when needed. Shuri tutors your arsenal.
She-Hulk: Brings aggression with a built-in punch and lots of HP.
Hulk: Sometimes he smashes the wrong thing, but you can't argue that he smashes hard.
Tigra: Minion control on a stick. Perfect thematic partner for T’Challa.
Nick Fury: He’s Nick. He draws cards, he shoots, he blocks, and then he vanishes into thin air. Still, you can consider him Wakanda’s international guest advisor... when he's around.
Weapons & Upgrades
This is where the deck shines.
Energy Spear: Wakandan spears are deadly. Put them on Dora Milaje or She-Hulk and they suddenly hit like trucks.
Jarnbjorn: Okay, maybe not Wakandan, but let’s call it “borrowed.” Turns spare resources into chip damage and fuels Firepower consistently.
Martial Prowess: Smooths your event economy, great with Firepower and Wakanda Forever!
Panther Claws, Energy Daggers, Vibranium Suit, Tactical Genius: The classic Black Panther toolkit. They’re still the core of your power curve.
Events: Precision Strikes
Firepower: Your burst damage. With this many weapons, it’s rarely dead.
Wakanda Forever!: Once all your upgrades are online, this becomes your engine for absurd burst turns.
Ancestral Knowledge: Keeps the deck lean by recycling key cards (often Wakanda Forever! or Firepower).
Supports & Resources
The Golden City: Extra card draw keeps you ahead. Never leave home without it.
Avengers Mansion: Expensive, but it gives T’Challa the economy he needs to pay for all this shiny tech.
Lock and Load: Your thematic flex piece. Dig for those weapons early and let the arsenal sing.
Closing the Game
Once you’re set up, this deck ends fights fast:
Chain Wakanda Forever! for value damage across multiple upgrades.
Stack Energy Spear on Dora Milaje or Avengers allies to make them terrifying.
Drop Firepower for burst damage.
Use Jarnbjorn to turn dead cards into bonus damage.
By the final phase, you’re rolling like a Wakandan army - schemes under control, allies hitting harder than most heroes, and Panther himself striking from every angle.
Final Thoughts
This deck takes the best parts of Black Panther’s kit (flexibility, efficiency, ally support) and gives him something he doesn’t always have: consistent weapons to fuel raw aggression.
It’s thematic, explosive, and just fun, because nothing says “I am the King of Wakanda” like handing your Dora Milaje a spear and pointing them at the enemy.
You may only attach Energy Spears to allies with the guardian trait. The Dora Milaje aren't valid targets. Nor are any of the other allies you've selected.... :(
