NOTE: CE1.7 refers to “Current Environment for rules version 1.7”. This designation was coined by @JacenSketch as far as I know.
I wasn’t planning on writing this up, but after I claimed perfect victories against the core box villains on expert (no minions, no side schemes, and no threat on the main), I had to share this simple formulation.
The main idea is to get the Dora Milaje on the field and let them do their thing. Make the Call can bring anyone back from the brink, and The Triskelion can allow T'Challa or White Wolf to join in the fight.
I actually trigger the upgrades via Def more than any other stat. (Oddly, when I tried a CE1.7 protection build, it couldn’t stand up to Ultron on Standard! How sad!) The allies work so well together; I am very impressed. Black Panther could easily use the same build and play just as wonderfully, but I wanted to see what Shuri could do.
I might suggest adding in First Aid and Heart of the Panther to replace the extra copies of Team Training and Team-Building Exercise. However, this build is solid as is.
Happy gaming!

Jan 24, 2026Thanks for the shout out! Glad to see you playing CE1.7, its a great challenge! Great minds think alike, I played a similar build recently, but cant say I had the same success. I used Suit Up and Sidekick. I would not recommend... I dont think I even played them the 3 games I had them in the deck. Good call on Avengers Mansion. That extra card is always nice. Glad to hear you were able to take out all 3 core box villians with great success! I'll need to try your build next time. |

I’m a dude that usually plays standard. I find Risky Business to be a decent level of challenge. So this clean sweep was a testament to me about how easy this deck is to pilot. I just look at the cards and think “Is that it?” Sometimes simple is better. |
