Get ready for an all-new West Coast Avengers!
We're going to use Justice and Leadership to play strong AVENGER allies and leverage Jessica Drew's S.H.I.E.L.D. trait to support those allies. Spider-Woman already has arguably one of the best signature allies in the game in Captain Marvel, and we're going to see a Cameo appearance from Mockingbird.
Why Mockingbird? She has the AVENGER and S.H.I.E.L.D. traits, making her a valid target for Avengers Tower, Field Agent, Mighty Avengers, and even Evaluate Threat. Once we have Avengers Tower and Helicarrier in play, she costs only one resource to play, making it easy to use her interrupt ability turn after turn.
Our goal is to get Captain Marvel, Mockingbird, Sentry, and Spectrum into play, along with Mighty Avengers and Team Training. A copy of S.H.I.E.L.D. Deputy goes on those who don't already have that trait so that we can use Field Agent.
Sentry is very strong on his own. Spectrum is likewise strong if we use a card with a printed resource to pay for her. We have four "The Power of..." cards to do that. Avengers Compound allows us to tuck Spectrum away until we have one of those resource cards in our hand.
Hawkeye, Quake, Scarlet Witch, and White Tiger are all very good allies in their own right. They're each useful plays until we get our four marquee allies into the game.
Just because this is an ally-based deck does not mean that we have no events to play. Spider-Woman has an event-heavy hero kit that provides a lot of utility. Both copies of Finesse make those events easy plays.
