Time out

Peter Parker needs a timeout after being on the wrong end of a beating, maybe a heart to heart with Aunt May. Bruce Banner leaves town, full of guilt after flipping into another rage (cue sad Hulk music). Tony Stark reaches for the bourbon, wondering who he is without his suit. All heroes need some downtime.

But not Black Widow. She's always up bright and early, ready for the day - or rather, Ready for a Fight!

BW

With Safe House #29 in play along with a Black Widow's Gauntlet Natasha gets out of bed, downs a coffee and a bagel, slips on her Synth-Suit then heads off to intercept the nefarious schemes left undefended by her teammates. At the end of the day she heads home, slips into something more comfortable and makes preparations for the next day. Working 9 to 5 every single day, she always gets a good night’s rest.

NR

That's the core gameplay loop: let one of your teammates flip to alter-ego and use Ready for a Fight when the villain schemes. Flip down at the end of your player turn and use Safe House #29 with Black Widow's Gauntlet to replay Ready for a Fight and get that juicy card draw from Natasha Romanoff's AE power. Player position and first-player token does affect who can be protected when flipping to alter-ego so make a plan and be prepared!

Speaking of preparations, Attacrobatics is your best friend, letting you block and (usually) take zero damage with Synth-Suit and Defensive Conditioning in play while dealing some damage back to the villain - then Unflappable draws a card. Grappling Hook helps keep encounters under control, while Widow's Bite tackles the minions. Practiced Plan brings back whichever one seems the most useful at the time, even Ready for a Fight, allowing Safe House #29 to return a different preparation from the discard pile.

As Black Widow flips every turn, Hidden Base and two copies of Perseverance ensure she's Tough more often than not, meaning that she doesn't even have to exhaust to defend the first hit when activating Ready for a Fight.

The supporting cast:

  • Yellow Jacket lets you search for one of the deck's 17 upgrades
  • Spider-Byte becomes free very quickly in this build
  • White Widow sticks around for the entire game thanks to healing from the massive amount of preparations played
  • Winter Soldier can be free, but is still a bargain at 1 or 2 cost, which is easy to achieve
  • Northstar offers some boost-icon backup for when Attacrobatics isn't active
  • Nick Fury needs no introduction

The supporting supports:

This build isn’t here to blow up the board — it’s here to make your teammates breathe easier. You smooth out the rough turns, take the pressure off the table, and keep the whole team humming along. It’s a different kind of power, and honestly? It’s a blast to play. Give it a try and watch the whole table relax.
