Spider-Woman: Righteous Shield

Here's another deck that uses a card which hasn't been released yet: Righteous Purpose, which will come in the Luke Cage pack in August.

Guardians of the Galaxy is a place holder here for Righteous Purpose because they have the same cost, type, and aspect.

The deck uses Righteous Purpose and Mighty Avengers to pump up your allies, and Energy Shield to keep them in the game at 1HP.

Finesse will pay the for Energy Shield!

Some allies want an Energy Shield:

• Captain Marvel: Keeping her alive is good anyway because you'll get extra card draw from her
• Ronin: He gets +1/+1 just by attaching Energy Shield to him
• Iron Lad: He get's all of the pumps himself and also gets the pumps from the ally he exhausts

Get them down to 1HP and let the cook, then prevent their last Consequential Damage with Energy Shield!

Some allies are chump-fodder, and want "Avenge Me!" for the extra card draw:

• Kaluu
• Stinger

Some of them need neither upgrade:

• Patriot: he can sit at 1 HP for a while because he gets Toughs so easily
• White Tiger: You want her to be defeated so you can get her back into the deck, but don't chump with her if you don't have to. With +3/+3 (+1 from Mighty Avengers and +2 from Righteous Purpose) she's more valuable attacking or thwarting a second time.
• Much the same can be said for Brother Voodoo too though. +3/+3 lets him thwart for 5 while sitting at1 HP, so go ahead and put "Avenge Me!" on him too if you have it in hand when he makes his final thwart.

Avengers Tower increases you ally limit and lets you play your allies cheaper, and Honorary Avenger lets you flip down and still have the AVENGER trait...

• ...making Mighty Avengers "always on"
• ...allowing you to play "Avenge Me!" from alter.

Player Side Schemes

Build Support is here for Righteous Purpose, but if that's already in play use it to tutor Mighty Avengers.

Call for Backup and Evaluate Threat are mostly here for Captain Marvel, but can be used for Ronin too, especially if you have an Energy Shield in hand for him.

With Avengers Tower you'll have an ally limit of 4 (and don't forget that Stinger doesn't count towards your ally limit), but with 3 you want to keep on the table (and Patriot probably a 4th) you might want The Triskelion as well. Replacing Call for Backup with The Triskelion shouldn't hurt the deck too much because because you'll be getting lots of draw from:

• Captain Marvel
• White Tiger
• "Avenge Me!"

Leading Blow

With a fairly inexpensive deck and plenty of card draw you can often play 2 or 3 Aspect cards per turn, making Leading Blow pretty effective. Attack for 3 or 4 (or whatever) minus the boost card discarded and you should still deal damage and get the ready to attack again at "full force".
