"What do we want?"

"Pain!"

"When do we want it?"

"Yes!"

Yes, we do.

She's an S-tier hero for me is that young whipper-snikter; useable in every aspect to wonderful effect.

So how do we play a hero who wants to actively take damage? Well, don't buff her up too much, I'd say. Let's see how we can do that then...

Upgrades

Endurance obviously; those Claws hurt, y' know. And yes, slightly contrary to the theme, I am chucking in Defensive Conditioning - 3 DEF is solid, but you're still likely to take damage, especially in Expert, so reducing it a little is good, plus the 3 extra HPs goes a long way. With Adamantium Lacing, we're up to 18 base health. Lovely.

Double retaliate from Adamantium Lacing and Electrostatic Armor is wonderfully helpful too.

Oh and of course, we want to buff up Honey Badger, so chucking in three copies of Protective Training increases your chances it popping into your hand.

Supports

This deck slightly hinges, well, benefits really on Children of the Atom being out so Utopia can kick in for another ready and The X-Jet for resources too, but you can probably forego the latter should you choose.

Moira MacTaggert is always a staple for any Mutant deck.

Allies

Professor X to help us drop-down as needed. That's it. That's all.

Events

Now the fun stuff...

So, X-23's Claws and Animal Instinct chuck you up to 5 ATK, so Counter-Punch really comes into it's own whether against the villain or a minion. And if you do kill something off, Change of Fortune draws you 2 cards.

All of that for 1 cost. Epic.

Taunt is not a card I have use extensively, but here, well, gives you a bit or room to manoeuvre if you feel that way inclined and didn't want to take damage from X-23's Claws or Grim Resolve, so you can defend and still ready.

Game Time of course, to keep Honey Badger on the table.

And since we have a wild with Grim Resolve, three copies of What Doesn't Kill Me makes sense. If you wanted to double-down, with Children of the Atom out you could throw in The X-Jet too.

And there you have it. She's pretty epic and I think this will be fun to play out.
