Ms. Marvel: Captain Cameo

I should start with a disclaimer - I'm not a natural leadership player! However, a couple of ideas came together and I had to try them out...

This is a Ms Marvel Cameo/Sidekick deck, which sees Kamala teaming up with Captain Marvel from Spider-Woman's hero kit. The deck is focused on getting Carol into play as soon as possible, and then building an unstoppable duo...

• Buffing Carol using using various ally upgrades (Inspired, Power Gloves, Reinforced Suit, Sidekick) to keep her on the board and make the most of each activation

• Making the most of Sidekick and Side-by-Side to ready and heal Kamala and Carol, or buff their stats by +1 ATK & +1 THW

• Readying Carol multiple times per turn, using Side-by-Side, Get Ready and Sky Cycle - getting card draw each time she activates

• Giving Kamala Clarity of Purpose and Endurance, other than being a lovely thematic win, lets you convert Kamala's HP to resources when you need to - giving you a reason to heal with Side-by-Side or Kamala's basic REC.

There are multiple ways to get Carol on the board. In my testing, I've mostly found Call for Backup early, but I've also included Call for Aid to find your only Avenger ally when you need to.

In terms of resources, Ms Marvel's kit and abilities provide a generous supply. Digging Deep is a nice bonus, and works both when you have to Call for Aid or when you use Kamala's alter-ego ability to look for Ms Marvel cards. Plan B is there to smooth out turns where you end up with a leftover card.

Beyond this, Kamala's persona supports keep everything moving, and once Sidekick is in play dropping down to alter-ego regularly keeps Carol healthy. An early version of this deck included Rapid Response and Med Lab as a fallback, but I just wasn't using them - once Carol is in play, she stays there!

Buffing Ms Marvel's events using Shrink and Embiggen! round out your turns nicely, and with the option to exhaust to recur Wiggle Room, for Unified Strike to spare Carol some damage, or even just to bring an event back to pay for something else - there's always an option for Kamala!

And I know what you're thinking - yes, I could include Spectrum to make this a 'The Marvels' deck. But she's expensive, and breaks Call for Aid...
