In response to the Kingpin's crime surge, vigilantes from every corner of the city rally in resistance to the crime lord's rampage. Heroes like the Devil of Hell's Kitchen or mayor Luke Cage find themselves in the streets fighting Fisk's goons, protecting our great city. However, while great heroes like that put their lives on the line, the WALL-CRAWLING MENACE Spider-Man can only be seen hiding behind his web of LIES! Even in these trying times, I will not stop until I prove to you good people that Spider-Man only serves himself!!
While others go on offense to take down, Spider-Man instead sits back and lets the criminals take themselves out! With all of the crisis going on around us, it's Hard to Ignore how the spider-menace uses his webs to prevent the threat from all around us. That coupled with his annoying agility makes it nearly impossible to nail down the menace. To make matters worse, his Unflappable nature combined with his natural sixth sense for trouble makes him a much more dangerous threat. And his Taunting lets him get access to even more of his tools!
I can only hope that by the end of all of this, you all are able to see what a menace Spider-Man really is to our city.
This is a protection Spider-Man deck built around using his defense as an offensive tool. Spider-Man is a very responsive character who uses his quick thinking and quicker reflexes to respond to all kinds of danger. Thanks to his naturally high defense, taking advantage of cards like Bait and Switch, Taunt, and "Stop Hitting Yourself" let's Spider-Man play as his taunting, quip-slinging self. Naturally, his Backflip lets him play all of those cards at little to no cost to himself. All of this is coupled with the fact that Hard to Ignore and Unflappable let Spider-Man draw two cards and remove 3 threat nearly every enemy phase (or during the player phase if they are ready then).
