Here is our Spider-Woman Justice/Leadership deck that was used to run through the Sinister Motives Campaign in Expert Mode (Core Expert and Standard Encounter Cards). My team mates played Spider-Man Aggression and Ghost-Spider Protection.

With the release of all the great S.H.I.E.L.D cards in the Sinister Motives Campaign set we had to build a deck with the dynamic and happily it seems Spider-Woman is the best option to take advantage of this dynamic as she can utilise two aspects, in addition to fitting with the theme.

Initial focus is on Homeland Intervention and Government Liaison as they can remove a large amount of threat and play cards for cheap respectively.

Which cards can we exhaust and not feel a penalty for and what cards will guarantee to see value. The Triskelion is a perfect example of a card you can exhaust for Homeland Intervention and receive no down side as the card only gives the option for a 4 ally slot. It does not need to be exhausted for use. Where as exhausting Helicarrier would have a massive cost to economy. However, if you really need to remove 2 more threat. Do what you have to.

So despite trying to get full advantage of these cards and the other S.H.I.E.L.D card dynamics, your initial focus should always be the following in priority order;

  1. Finesse
  2. Government Liaison
  3. Deft Focus
  4. Helicarrier

This should set up your economy and allow you to build from there.

Command Team and Field Agent are great targets for Global Logistics and Homeland Intervention. However, they also have a great exhaust ability that can be used to great affect with the allies in this deck. Global Logistics is a great card in the late game. However, you should not push it early as it can affect economy.

Agent Coulson is great at tutoring Rapid Response to your hand given Spider-Woman's ability to use 2 aspects and given the expense of some allies, Rapid Response is a great card to keep those allies on the board.

Deft Focus makes Self-Propelled Glide 0 cost and makes Contaminant Immunity, Pheromones and Venom Blast 1 cost.

Hawkeye is added to gain value for those 4 and 5 cost cards that cannot be played early in the game. Exhausting Hawkeye to deal 4 or 5 damage when the opportunity presents itself is excellent economy.

Agent 13 and Helicarrier is a match made in heaven.

Finally, Dum Dum Dugan is a true late game monster and should never be played early. Yes, he looks like he will leave the field quickly. However, with Field Agent he will stay around for a while and with Command Team he can go again in a phase.

Kate Bishop does damage based on the printed resources at the bottom of the card. Not the printed cost at the top.
