Hi welcome to the thirty sixth in a series of decks I plan to build directly influenced by the amazing Get Up and Game! Perfect Match-Up series found here: https://youtu.be/1I2q3sT6FoA Please check out the channel and the video since I thought it was an amazing gift to the community and it inspired me to start playing Champions more regularly.

My goal with this series is to create a unique deck inspired by each challenge match-up in the video using all the suggested cards plus some of my own to create a deck that any player can use to check out the challenge. If you’re missing some cards from a deck please ask in the comments and I’ll do my best to find replacements from your collection so that you can have fun too! Hopefully I can build a deck that can beat the villain on both standard and expert. I’ll try to document any tweaks I made while playing the deck too.

For our next match up I had another first timer against a first timer as this was my first time building and playing with Vision and my first time facing off against Magneto! My first fight didn't go well. I was still wrapping my head around how Vision worked when Magneto really showed me how he works and slammed me down hard. Thankfully I rallied and came back for a Standard win and then followed by a down to the wire Expert win. Just when I thought I had things going, my nemesis showed up and I was swiftly defeated. The next Expert game was my most painful. I had Magneto down to 4 health and he was only on his second main scheme. For some reason I feared he would do back to back activations if I flipped down and so I staying in hero form with two allies for defense. All I needed to do was survive the round... I drew a series of attacks which took out my allies and then triggered magnet counters which triggered more attacks and then MORE attacks and I watched my game slip away. Lesson learned. One of my favorite parts of champions is that decision of staying in hero form or flipping down. In this case flipping down would have won me the game. I wasn't deterred though and came back with all the knowledge from my previous games to not only get my second Expert win but defeat my nemesis during the game too!

So this Vivian... I mean Vision deck revolves mainly around supporting your allies so that they can take care of the day. The two stars of the show are Vivian and Adam Warlock. Get them out, buff them up, and then ready them and thwart or attack again and again.

Mulligan hard for Vivian or 616 Hickory Branch Lane. You really want to get through that stack of side schemes as quickly as possible and Vivians 3 THW will get you there. Quincarrier, Clarity of Purpose and Solar Gem will help you with resources. Then just support your allies. Use Reinforced Suit and Team Training, Inspiring Presence and Reboot to keep them out longer and Rapid Response, Make the Call and 616 Hickory Branch Lane to bring them back when they do get taken down. Command Team will get you tons of extra uses as well.

Don't forget that you can use 616 Hickory Branch Lane in alter ego to pull out Machine Man to use as an extra resource or play him down when you need the extra chumps. He can also be used effectively if you draw a hand full of resources. Professor X will help you flip down more often once you take away Magneto's Steady. Maria Hill and Kaluu are mainly there for card draw and chumping. Once you're set up, Adam Warlock can do some huge damage AND healing(the healing saved Vision more than once). Use him first in case he removes threat. Then you can save Vivian for damage.

I had a really good time with this first time match up. I felt Magneto was tough but fair as far as final bosses go and I really enjoyed playing Vision!
