I originally made this deck as a meme--since Cyclops allows it, what if I just used all the X-men allies? But then it turned out to be both very fun and very powerful... after unexpectedly winning several difficult scenarios easily, I took it against expert Venom Goblin (with goblin gear) and won first try without too much trouble at all.

Note: the deck I used was actually one card different from the one presented here, because I had missed Marvel Girl in my original roll-call of X-men allies, but I did have Karma instead. Once I realized the mistake, I decided to drop Karma instead of any of the non-ally cards, since they are all vital to the deck's success-- and Karma's ability works against the bonuses from Uncanny X-Men. If you really want the purity of having all the X-men, I guess you could try dropping The Triskelion, but I think it does help a lot. In practice, you should probably swap out allies based on who would be good for the encounter set.

How It Works

Allies like Beast, Forge, and Phoenix help you get your crucial upgrades and supports built out. Once the build is done, you can have 5 allies on the table between The Triskelion and Utopia. Uncanny X-Men gives you an amazing constant 1-resource discount on a full 54% of cards in your deck (in hero form), and Team-Building Exercise and The X-Jet provide further resources.

Allies like Banshee, Dazzler, and Professor X help you roll down to alter-ego to use Cerebro and Cyclops' AE ability. With 6 psionic allies to choose from, Cerebro will often let you grab the exact ally that you need for any situation-- and Pixie helps get them out of the discard pile if needed.

In terms of actually defeating the villain, Exploit Weakness becomes very powerful when you can have up to 5 allies attacking, plus Cyclops' basic attack, plus an Optic Blast. I was able to one-shot Venom Goblin III this way. You also don't have to worry about taking much damage, because chump blocks abound and you want allies to leave after a while anyway to make room for new ones. In my games with this deck, I was pretty much never below 6 HP.
