This deck is part of a short list of leadership decks that I'll be publishing over time, but this one has been the one I've contemplated the most. It has so far beat expert RoRS campaign up to Zola, and I'll be playing it more to test its breaking point. It has a neat jist to it as the title ensues, being how Wong likes to hover around the board with his sweet new Harley as an Honorary Avenger.
Why the sky cycle? How is it effective? How can you get anything done with this deck if it relies Soley on getting the cycle AND honorary avenger out? Well, I'm glad to say that it does not!
You see, this deck instead leans heavily on the use of the invocation deck to survive, and being dominate. That's mainly because Wong's ability to discard the top card of the invocation deck as an action allows you to nit-pick your way through the invocations to find what you want or will need to be successful. Thus, this deck is really about being able to manipulate the invocation deck to do you want, so you can reach your peak and absolutely dominate the board with anything you want from it.
It does so through many ways: You can pull out Wong with Summoning Spell, get him back with Make the Call, and even use Mystical Studies to pull him out. From there, you can use Get Ready, Earth's Mightiest Heroes, the cycle if you got Honorary Avenger, and Command Team if you got the resources to play it and use it well.
To simply just survive however, Wong's 2 attack and 1 thwart can be used consistently to clear minions and even side schemes, with the consequential damage being healable with first aid, (and a +1 hitpoint with Honorary Avenger. Otherwise, it's critical to get cheap allies into play to deal with whatever is needed on the board. I must stress that getting the Cloak of Levitation is top priority to defend attacks when needed, and filter through the invocation deck. With more allies in play, you can give each of them tough status card with Seven Rings of Raggadorr, which can be broken if you're able to read Wong each turn with Sky Cycle.
To keep Doctor Strange healthy, Endurance and Down Time help, but mainly through confusing the villain, (via the invocation deck), you can flip to heal and further use Doctor Strange's alter ego ability to filter the deck if needed. Health has been a main struggle with this deck, as it's hard to keep him healthy early game, and can be dependent fully on who you're facing and what you get.
This deck is still in testing, but I really wanted to put it out there so I could some feedback if anyone else is willing to let Wong rock the board with some of his own magic. Thanks, and "Yes, WONG"
