Continuing my Con of Heroes 2024 Decklists, this time with the Leader of the Guardians!

The main idea of the deck is to use Mulligan and encounter cards to great effect. The former allows Star-Lord to draw and entirely new hand using his "What Could go Wrong?" ability, meaning you can use Element Gun, C.I.T.T., Blackout, Stick-To-Itiveness, and Tic-Tac-Toe, and (most importantly) Deadpool Corps Ship as resource sinks to allow Star-Lord to empty his hand without playing cards.

(Keep in mind that while Deadpool Corps Ship circumvents "playing" a card and therefore keeps Mulligan in play, it does not trigger Knowhere, which requires an ally to be played.)

You can also use Plot Convenience to stash Mulligan until you're ready to use it, once your resource sinks are on the table. So if you draw it early, save it for the right time and have an explosive turn!

The other part of this deck synergizes well with the first, especially if you can get an ally out with Deadpool Corps Ship. The resulting encounter card powers up your Sliding Shot (and also technically your Gutsy Move, but this deck isn't about thwarting). The allies you play from hand will draw cards with Knowhere, and can thwart to keep the schemes in check, and can block for you as you get established (which means their negative symbols matter less when they are defending for you and don't stick around!).

Go crazy and do Star-Lord stuff! This was the deck I played the most and had the most fun with at CoH '24.

If you enjoy my decks, you might also enjoy my podcast called Winning Hand. We are also on Youtube!

@boomguy i might be just stupid but how do you play marvelcdb.com (IPAC) in this deck? Doesnt your identity need to have the X-FORCE trait in order to play it?

@Theblackflamingo Yes, using Build Support you can sneak it into play!

@Dansome It's so much fun, give it a try!

@josseroo also proud to have seen it blow up in my face?

@Munegu 100%, those were meant to be given out to the table
