I'm on a Journey

I am on a journey to play every hero in every aspect. I will be going at this in a random order and posting each deck I play. I am also trying to get better at deck building, so suggestions are encouraged to be commented.

Analysis

This is an Uncanny X-Force deck originally built for multiplayer but then taken to solo afterwards.

This deck went through many changes to reach its final state. A problem when deckbuilding was that I didn't have enough X-Force allies to choose from (I also haven't opened the Bishop hero yet).

Gameplay

Uncanny X-Force needs to be played ASAP. I have a stupid mindset against dead cards, so I did not run two copies. I recommend to though. I ended up just mulliganing hard.

I recommend mulliganing for:

My major problem with Deadpool is that some of his hero cards do not feel that good when not running a specific acceleration icon build. Cable, Montage, and It Ain't Over... all felt very bad early game. Deadpool's events such as "Yoo-Hoo!" and Exhausting Personality feel extremely hard to play.

Pete Wisdom is surprisingly good in this deck, because a lot of treacheries show up, and Uncanny X-Force can take down the consequential damage when thwarting a side scheme to 1.

I repeatedly ran into problems with the ally limit before running The Triskelion, because I had a core of Pete Wisdom, Fantomex, and Deathlok. These are the main cards to put Inspired on.

I am a big fan of Endurance, because I think it is versatile. I run it in almost all of my decks.

Caliban, Domino, and Sunspot like to be rotated in and out. Sunspot was at first a struggle, because I am not running very many resources. But at one point, it killed 3 minions and did three damage to the villain.

Villain

It took me a surprisingly long time to beat Expert Klaw (like 4 or 5 tries). I very quickly learned that Uncanny X-Force was super important to take out Klaw's starting two side schemes. Surprisingly, I got very lucky with what minion started on the table too.

Card Substitiutions

In Multiplayer, I ran Clarity of Purpose for the whole table, while someone else took Build Support and Specialized Training. My first drafts of this deck had Clarity of Purpose, but I eventually cut it in favor for The Triskelion.

I ran Rally the Troops, but cut it in favor of an extra Inspired. I can definetly see somebody putting Rally the Troops back in. I do not have a good reason for taking it out, but it just didn't feel right to me.

I also ran Maria Hill, but that didn't work very well with Uncanny X-Force.

I can see people switching out the X-Force allies for others. Caliban, Domino, and Sunspot could all go in favor for stronger allies.

QUESTION

Do resources activate Sunspot's ability? If they don't, I was playing it wrong.
