I’m sure this combo is well known, but I didn’t see many optimized decks with Captain Marvel. AND she is perfect for this build. Her ability to draw/filter cards makes Sneak Attack builds super consistent. This deck has tons of interesting decisions and can also be fairly straightforward to play once you understand the main combos. Specifically, it has two combos that are easy to set up and do 17-18 damage which means you rarely phase the section phase of a villain. Also this deck typically beats the villain in 1-2 passes through the hero deck so it is not a long or drawn out game.
The first combo is the simpler one and more commonly used: Use Sneak Attack with Goliath (or just play him) with both Command Team and Rapid Response in play and you can do 15 damage. What I haven’t seen people do is include Mighty Avengers in this deck which is good overall for just playing the game straight up without Sneak Attack but makes the combo even better at 18 damage. Also other allies like Giant-Man or Power Man can also be subbed in for Goliath and will do 12 damage (or 15 with Mighty Avengers).
It’s important to note that you CAN’T use Rapid Response when a character is “discarded” with Sneak By which is why Command Team is important to ensure the allies are “defeated” with consequential damage.
The second big combo is to Sneak Attack (or just play) Black Panther with Go Down Swinging in your hand or discard pile and Command Team, Rapid Response and another ally in play for 13-15 damage (depending on the ally) and 16-18 with Mighty Avengers. The combo goes like this: use Sneak Attack to put Black Panther into play and grab Go Down Swinging from the discard pile to attach to him. (Note: You can use a Go Down Swinging from your hand to pay for him or to pay for Sneak Attack too.) Then attack with Black Panther and use Go Down Swinging to “throw” the other Ally, then use Command Team on Black Panther, attack again to kill off Black Panther and use Rapid Response to bring him back attaching Go Down Swinging again. Then attack with Black Panther for the third time this turn and finally “throw” him with Go Down Swinging. Complicated but easy to execute once you e done it once.
Another note is that you can Sneak Attack in Nick Fury when you are in her alter-ego form but he will temporarily shut off Mighty Avengers. Still worth playing him for sure but just a minor complication.
You can run a similar deck with Black Widow but the Captain Marvel version is just way more consistent with her draw/filtering.
