I'm actually yet to play Winter Soldier at the time of writing this - about time I cleared my schedule, clicked my knuckles and dived neck deep into this veritable force that is ol' Bucky B.
Oh, he looks powerful, doesn't he? Too powerful? Hmm. We'll see. I thought I would lean into weapons, offering plenty of extra damage over various combination and also throwing in a smidge of S.H.I.E.L.D. too - I haven't actually looked up any WS decks on here so it'll be interesting to see if this gets much feedback. I did think about leaning into minion-mining but for now, have opted against. Maybe another time for that one.
Upgrades
Bambino just looks pretty mad, especially if we've buffed up to a 3 ATK with Combat Training. For one cost, Man on the Wall looks great value just to have out and of course Martial Prowess to keep cost low down the line.
Enter Practiced Plan - with Silent Infiltration being such a strong card, I wanted the opportunity to recycle this as much as possible. You could drop Jarnbjorn and have a third copy here; the former is there to aid Events which we'll get on to later.
Finishing off upgrades, S.H.I.E.L.D. Sidearm, if you're lucky enough to have Bambino out, gives a possible 7 damage from a basic attack.
Supports
All S.H.I.E.L.D. based here covering a nice smattering of requirements. Helicarrier and Jemma Simmons reduce costs nicely; the latter combined with Leo Fitz let's you dig for a TECH card and i've thrown in Team-Building Exercise as our allies are quite expensive. You could easily drop this though.
Events
Pretty straightforward; Fusillade and Mean Swing offer a solid combination depending what you have out. With Jarnbjorn being so cheap, Fusillade gives cheap hits where, refering to above, Combat Training + Bambino + S.H.I.E.L.D. Sidearm + Mean Swing means you're swinging for 10 damage. Wowzers.
And Into the Fray gives you an element of threat removal if needed.
Allies
Thank you Captain America for allowing me to ready a S.H.I.E.L.D character - that'll be me then. And I've never played Deathlok before, but he does look quite a handy chap. Good old Nick Fury, Sr. finishes things off nicely giving you some options with his 'enters plays' response.
All in all, maybe there's a few quantities to tinker with - any feedback much appreciated. But overall, I think this is there or thereabouts!
