....Do you take (the Finesse) card...?

This deck I had fun with and the basis was to get the most out of the Finesse cards of Spider-Woman.

Typically, Finesse is used to pay for your aspect cards to put into play, right?...it got me thinking - if the likes of The Power in All of Us can pay for C.I.T.T ...why can't Finesse pay for actions on aspect cards!

Half the deck are cards that cost 0 or 1, so the idea is that you'll have at least one Finesse upgrade available to pay for your allies' abilities...and since it generates a resource, it covers all resource types!

Fuel Your Allies

BW

Black Widow -

When Natasha is in play, use your Finesse to allow her to do away with any particularly nasty encounters cards (requires a resource);

Magik -

Since I've got a few minion summoning cards, Magik can immediately whisk one away to Limbo, keeping the board clean (requires a resource);

Nightcrawler -

Can see a huge villain attack coming? Use your Finesse to ask Kurt to defend it all! (requires an resource);

Nova -

Nova can hit an enemy as they initiate an attack..so if you damaged a minion during the player phase, Nova can finish them off in the villain phase, preventing any damage coming your way (requires an resource);

Protector -

Protector can deal hefty damage to minions or the villain. Use Finesse to heal her (uses a resource). If you put an Energy Shield on her, she can hang around longer...more on that later;

Sunfire -

Always a super strong ally. Now you don't need to worry about stocking up on energy resources ...just use Jess' Finesse to take away pesky attachment off the villain (uses an resource) ;

Thor -

Good to control minions (that will come out from "Come Get Me, Bub!" and Looking for Trouble ). The God of Thunder can smite them - Jess can aid with her Finesse to deal damage to all minions (uses an resource)

Free up Finesse!

Fly

Aspect events cards have been deliberately kept low in order to easily play and trigger Jess' "Superhuman Agility" but also as mentioned to allow you to use your Finesse upgrades for other things. Even Jess' hero aspect cards aren't that expensive so you should be able to find a way to play them, and keep a Finesse handy to trigger either your allies or upgrades.

"Come Get Me, Bub!" will heal up Jess and give her a tough, but at 1ER cost, it won't break the bank;

Similarly, Looking for Trouble is 1ER cost and can help you keep threat off the main at the expense of a minion, but that's okay if you have .....Firepower handy!

Use Firepower to clear off the minions and even hit the villain if you have a spare 3 damage to deal! At 2ER cost, you will trigger "Superhuman Agility", not spend too much out of hand, and if you have both Finesse upgrades out- you have one spare to use as you see fit!

I've also included the not commonly used First Hit. If you engage a minion during step 2 of the villain phase, you can use Aggressive Stance to search for it, then hit the minion for 2 damage...and possibly if you have Nova out, a further 2 damage can be placed on the hapless flunky...

Finesse Your Upgrades

There are a couple of upgrades that benefit from the Finesse cards too -

Energy Shield -

Place an Energy Shield on Captain Marvel and have Carol perpetually draw you a card for the duration of the game! Or as mentioned, it can be used on Protector (alongside her own ability) to remove all the consequential damage when she attacks...making her last longer and cause more damage! (requires an resource)

Jarnbjorn -

One of the three weapons included in the deck to make the most of Firepower. With all the Attack events and with Jess' amped up basic attacks from "Superhuman Agility", hitting for a further 2 damage can be very satisfying! (requires a resource)

Weapons of Choice

jess guns

Speaking of weapons, in order to maximise the use of Firepower, you want to be able to play three weapons. Jarnbjorn is one already mentioned, with the other two being the Stun Gun and S.H.I.E.L.D. Sidearm.

I typically only use the Stun Gun for Firepower, but its handy to have in a pinch if you really need to stun the villain or a minion.

S.H.I.E.L.D. Sidearm is a cheeky choice as it doesn't have the 'Restricted' keyword - meaning you can have three weapons without needing Side Holster. It also allows Jess to basic attack essentially for 6ATK(!) of you manage to play a card from each aspect! Only catch is that you need to be in alter-ego to attach it to Jess...

The Rest

Rounding out the deck, I've included Aggressive Stance to add a card to your hand once you engage a minion. Hopefully you can find a copy of Firepower or any Attack event to give you options.

Practiced Plan is a card I love e and it will help you recur Aggressive Stance in order to get potential card draw when you summoning a minion or one pops out during the villain phase. If you really want to stick to the 40 card deck, you can always leave this out.

Finally, Warrior Skill has been added to amplify your Attack Events. Firepower becomes a brutal 4/4/4 attack on enemies of your choice, as well as amping up First Hit and Venom Blast.
