Core Idea
This deck is built around a powerful engine involving Pheromones, Martyr, and Captain Marvel
The core idea is to use Pheromones to lock down the villain with stun/confuse, then recur it through synergy with Black Panther, Leadership Training, and tutors like Kaluu and Hope Summers. With a little setup, you can play Pheromones multiple times across the game, keeping control of the villain's activations.
Ally management is a big part of the strategy. #Rapid Response ensures key allies like #Captain Marvel or Martyr stick around longer, while triple Med Team keeps them healthy. Ally upgrades further enhance their impact — allowing Captain Marvel to draw more cards or enabling Martyr to safely take out minions while surviving longer.
Hangar Bay adds another layer of value by readying Martyr after she blocks, allowing her to stay in play and keep applying pressure.
Once we have the villain in stun/lock -> we flip to alter-ego mode for the villain phase (more card draws) and this way we can look at the top card of the encounter deck, after being there for one round we can observe the top card of the encounter deck -> if it something bad (shadows of the past), we might keep being in the alter-ego mode so this card will only be a boost, if not we might flip to hero mode to deal with a simpler card.
Optional card choices :
+ Clarity of Purpose - we can safely lose hp to provide resources since we are a lot in alter-ego mode at the beginning.
Make the Call – For more ally recursion (including Iron Fist)
Sidekick – To get extra value from a key ally.
Team Training - More ally health = more activations.
Reinforced Suit - more health.
Power Gloves - to help Martyr.
Energy Shield - Captain Marvel
- Hope Summers - Finesse can't be used to pay for this card.
Espionage - Might be beneficial to swap with Energy Shield on Captain marvel.
Similar idea : You can try a similar concept with Aggression / Leadership, focusing on buffing Tigra and Winter Soldier instead. This version makes it easier to manage threat while still dealing solid damage, but you’ll have fewer stun/confuse options compared to the Justice / Leadership build.
