I love Cyc. He's my boy. So, I'm always trying to find ways of making him super fun but also seriously viable as a top-tier hero in Marvel Champs.
Obviously, Slim shines due to his Alter-Ego ability to include a veritable cornucopia of X-Men of all aspects. This deck specifically uses the solid base of X-Men allies who also possess the Psionic trait, giving value to having a couple of copies of The Power of the Mind floating around for easy payment.
This deck also tries to ensure that Cyclops' hero cards aren't just used as fodder to pay for allies like in similar Cyc ally decks. Because when used properly his Optic Blast ability can put in work.
So...
The key to this build is to keep 'em busy with Psionic allies in the early game while Cyc pests around, planning in the background. Then, when you're set, put your fingers to your temple and...
So basically:
Utilise ally abilities and thwarting to keep things under control in the early game.
While they're doing that Cyc jumps on the... X-phone? and calls in his trusty supports.
He and Cap put their differences to the side so Cyc can use the Avengers Mansion.
He then uses that insufferable, yet irresistible charm of his on Maria Hill, convincing her to get the Helicarrier circling above.
He, of course, makes sure The X-Jet stays close by.
Then it's off to the gym for a cheeky push sesh and some Combat Training so he's got a solid pump going for when he needs to break out some sort of Surprise Move...
Finally while his Psionic X-Men are still valiantly keeping the enemy at bay, he has a post-workout shower, and chucks on his trusty Ruby Quartz Visor.
Then, when everything is set...
A cute little riff can be:
Full Blast > Battle Fury to ready-up again > Use an Ally or two to thwart Keep Up the Pressure to get Full Blast back > Full Blast 'em again > Running out of goons? Hit that Spoiling for a Fight to grab another minion and ready up again > Maybe you had a Priority Target on one of 'em letting you draw some more cards and, oh look, now you've got a Take That! or a Surprise Move! (Lucky Cyc hit the gym and got some Combat Training in earlier...)
You get the idea...
Allies, and Optic Blasts, and pop culture references... Oh my!
