"Cyclops, give 'em an eyeful!" ~ Gambit
Player Count/Type : 3-4p / Timmy
Power Level: Med
Complexity: Med
Key Cards: Float Like a Butterfly, Exploit Weakness
Servant Leadership
This deck is inspired by Villain Theory's Every Hero's Best Everything video, where he discusses how heroes interact with one another. VT covers an immense amount of data which I cannot even begin to cover here, so I highly recommend checking it out!
In 3-4 player games, table support is always a good idea. When I heard VT talk about how Exploit Weakness and Float Like a Butterfly are both great ways to support other players with lots of attacks, I thought, "Surely there is a Cyclops deck that does this."
I was certain it had been done already, but, to my surprise, there wasn't an existing deck on MCDB that uses Float Like a Butterfly with him. So, here we are! We're going to support the table by consistently letting them stack as much damage as possible to burn the villain down.
Team Damage, Full Blast
- Distribute Float Like a Butterfly to your teammates with the highest damage potential.
- Confuse the villain with Sonic Rifle, Psylocke, Dazzler, and everyone's favorite, Professor X.
- Drop Exploit Weakness on the villain and watch them melt.
That's pretty much the core strategy here. However, Justice produces another neat interaction with Cyclops in the form of Infiltration. Cyclops loves to have at least one minion ont he board for Priority Target. There is likely someone on your team summoning minions, so it's not completely necessary, but you also aren't guaranteed a minion. Infiltration + Overwatch is solid in multiplayer too.
Also, if you've played any amount of Cyclops, you know how clutch Tactical Brilliance can be. With Justice, Scott can lean into his role as the controller of threat while also recycling Exploit Weakness as often as possible.
Plan 2 and Beyond
'No. Not plan B. Plan 2. "Plan B" implies we only have 26.'
To overcome the variety of obstacles that scenarios will throw your way, it's okay to shift your strategy to another plan. Maybe you can't get all of your Floats out due to a high tempo game where you have to sink resources into scenario shenanigans. Or perhaps you don't draw into the right cards you need at the time. Adapt and use what you have!
Cerebro along with six Psionic characters allows you to grab the exact ally you need in the moment: Sunfire for those pesky attachments, White Queen to clear a stun on the Aggression player, or Professor X for that timely confuse.
Seven allies have at least 2 Thwart to make efficient use of Mission Training. However, this isn't exclusively an ally-centric deck, so we've left Game Time in the box.
Cyke's Pro Tips
- If you are about to cycle your deck and an ally with huge potential is in play, like Psylocke, be sure they go down swinging or block for you, so they can cycle back into your deck. This sets up Cerebro to immediately grab them afterward.
- Priority Target is a fantastic team support card, so let your buddies have the glory (and cards) from defeating those targets.
- Bring a sideboard to tech against specific scenarios. Additional copies of Overwatch and Even the Odds can be lifesavers in heavy side scheme scenarios. Utopia can also be a solid add here, but if you do, I'd throw in a copy of Heroic Intuition to make your readies a little more efficient. Throw in a single Endurance for high damage villains packing overkill or when you can be punished for chump-blocking with allies.
Let me know what you think of this type of Cyclops multiplayer support deck or if you try it out! I'd love to hear what you think.
~Peace!

Justice is my least played aspect with my favorite hero. This is a really cool idea! You could absolutely update this with the new Battlefield Benevolence card that was revealed yesterday once Wonder Man comes out - another really easy way to confuse!
