I've heard of the combo using Shadowcat to prevent Live Dangerously, which is really cool. The problem is that it only helps the round you put her out from your hand. So let's make it more consistent, shall we?

Key Cards:

Children of the Atom

Live Dangerously

Shadowcat

Mutant Mayhem

Everything else is to keep up the plan of making sure Live Dangerously only gives you +2 hand size and not the nasty bits.

DON'T FORGET

It is important to note that for Shadowcat's ability to work, you have to play her from your hand, which makes cards like Make the Call not beneficial here.

Cccccombos:

  • Professor is great to get Live Dangerously when you are ready for it or if it is discarded for whatever reason. It can also be used to grab another side-scheme to try and push Live Dangerously out if you can't blank the text box.

  • Regroup helps keep Shadowcat in circulation.

  • Won't Stay Down is great to nab Shadowcat if in the discard.

  • You can't play Shadowcat from your hand? Play another side scheme to try and discard Live Dangerously, or just complete it. Temporal Leap can fetch it out of the victory display if you have to. Vivian is also there to help blank the text so you can try again.

  • Mutant Mayhem is a card I never used back in the day, but it is wonderful in this deck! The best combo I've found is having Triage go along for the ride to heal. Because Mutant Mayhem is an Alliance card, your friend can help pay if you are desperate. It's the least they could do since you are giving them a +2 hand size with no bad icons.

  • Uncanny X-Men can be game breaking in this deck. The extra health isn't as important, but the cheaper cost will make everything easier in the end.

  • Uncanny X-Force can be crazy good for you team too. Make more of an impact with each ally so you can pull your weight in 3 or 4-player games.

Every turn is making Shadowcat come back out to keep your +2 handsize. It is pretty powerful for the team. This deck is weakest at 2 players, so play it solo or more than 2. 3 players is where it is at its strongest.

This deck does take time to set up fully, but as long as you have Children of the Atom, Shadowcat, and another X ally, you can start to Live Dangerously. It might be a little tougher, but you can figure it out. I have played this several times in different play counts, and it is pretty exciting for everyone to draw cards with no icons.
