Miles Morales has been a really fun hero for me to play and I've been experimenting a lot with different stun builds. But it wasn't until the release of SP//dr that it all came together.

The idea

Keep the entire board under your control with Spider-Man's inherent ability to stun and confuse while dishing out a lot of damage with the help of your web-warrior squad.

Strategy and synergies

Early game is obviously about building up your engine. Once you've built your board, this build becomes extremely cost efficient. Team-Building Exercise will help you pay for all allies as well as Champions Mobile Bunker. Deft Focus pays for Defense Mechanism, Power Within as well as the extremely good cards Thwip! Thwip! and Spider-Tingle. All allies are fairly cheap and will help you trigger Web of Life and Destiny as well as Warrior of the Great Web (which you obviously play on yourself).

Med Team is there to let you stay in hero a bit longer, Miles is very squishy. Helicarrier is not your biggest priority due to it's cost but it'll help you a lot late game when you draw cards.

Remember that Thwip! Thwip! and Spider-Tingle can be used on allies, which can be especially good if you want to make room for another ally, or trigger Warrior of the Great Web and Web of Life and Destiny for some clutch moments.

Spider-Man (Otto) is only really useable for Web-Shooter but trust me, it's worth it! He pretty much pays for himself. You get to ready Web-Shooter and draw a card. Attack with him and draw another card and get +1 ATK. Great value :)

Pinpoint has several great targets, but I'd suggest going for Web-Shooter. Keep her in play for as long as possible.

Spider-UK is a bit of an odd bird. His high health pool doesn't really synergize with the rest of the build, but what he does great is tanking minions that you're not able to stun. He is also a great target for Spider-Tingle and Thwip! Thwip! unless you want to rotate another ally.

Considerations

You will sometimes find yourself in the awkward situation where you have three allies on board and can't play another one. One could argue that you could cut 1-2 allies and add resource cards instead. I have, however, found that I prefer to have one too many allies to choose between for this build. It's imo pretty much essential for the damage and card drawing engine to have many allies, which is a much needed addition for any protection build. Also, most allies have fairly low health pools and you will thus rotate allies a lot, especially with the use of Spider-Tingle and Thwip! Thwip! as mentioned above.

This is also the reason Team-Building Exercise is a good addition to the deck. You will rotate allies a lot, so even if it only can target pretty few cards the value is still there!

Final thoughts

I've play tested this deck a lot. It's a really fun deck to play since there are plenty of synergies, card draws and opportunities to do a lot of damage. Hope you'll enjoy this deck as much as I have.

Also, RIP vs any stalwart villains :P

Any feedback is more than welcome!

This looks interesting. Have you considered energy barrier instead of med team?

@niolty Thanks for the input.

In my opinion, Med Team is the better option due to two reasons. First, it can be used on your allies which gives you a bit more options when you're low on stuns. Second, if you choose to use Thwip! Thwip! and Spider-Tingle on your hero, the healing will be needed due to Miles' low health pool.

Already put this together. Looking forward to giving it a shot.

Damn man, I took on Ultron with it and even when I spawned 5 Ultron Drones with the Upgraded Drones environment that gives face down drone cards +1 to attack and +1 to health, I STILL managed to pull off a win because of the versatility of this deck. The only questions I really have is what is the purpose of having Warrior of the Great Web and when do you use Spider-Tingle? Maybe because I went up against Ultron where every minion I had was thwarting and attacking almost every turn, I didn't really get to use Spider-Tingle. I did enjoy the Spider-Man and Web-Shooter combo, which was totally awesome.

@Rocketman176 glad you were able to beat Ultron! He can be a real pain.

The purpose of Warrior of the Great Web is to put it on Miles, allowing you to get +1 ATK each time a w-w ally leaves play. The villain will usually be stunned so your allies should usually leave play during your turn, hence you'll be able to attack for more!

I use Spider-Tingle as often as possible when I reveal a new encounter card. If you have a lot of health you might as well use it on Miles. My interpretation is that this card is not discarded if it's not a treachery card, so there is really no harm to activate it as often as possible unless you're low on health.

@stilonxy Damn of course, can't believe I didn't catch that. Yeah, good call for spider-tingle. Didn't really think of it that way. Was too focused on using allies health for it but forgot you can use your hero too. Awesome deck man, looking forward to many more good runs with it!

@Rocketman176``@stilonxy

Another nice use for Warrior is that is makes Miles a WW while in AE as well. If you make use of confuse to flip down, you can still trigger Tingle on yourself while in Alter-Ego. Personally, I do this a lot and use Crew Quarters to heal that damage.

@teamcanadahockey2002 good point, I haven't thought about that! However in this deck you rarely if ever spend a turn in alter ego. You pretty much only switch with Double Life, and at that point you get to ready once so you can recover for 4 without getting punished.

@stilonxy I guess it depends on playstyle. I almost always flip every turn when I play, especially if the villain is confused (which I know other players sometimes never ever flip unless absolutely needed).

why did SP//dr make it all come together?
