I generally like a low cost curves in Marvel Champions, but Ironheart somehow managed to become my #1 favorite hero in the game while having one of the highest.
Starting off with Ironheart's auto-includes:
Moon Girl - No brainer. Ironheart can play her on either side and has innate synergy with .
Ingenuity - if (hasGeniusTrait) {include ingenuity;}
Champions Mobile Bunker - Champions' solution for "oh no, my hand is bad" turns.
Assess the Situation - I can't think of another hero that would genuinely use this card, but we have a high cost curve - there's bound to be a turn where we will have a card leftover and this is the perfect no-loss solution. Also, it's a .
More good basic cards:
Soaring Acrobatics - Ironheart gains aerial starting on version 2, so might as well include the Venom's Pistol for aerial-traited heroes.
Nick Fury, Avengers Mansion, Helicarrier - generally good.
Vivian - a bit of a tech card. If you know you won't need her in a specific scenario, feel free to replace her with Spider-Man.
"Go for Champions!" - It's too bad it's a one-time use now, but it became that way for a reason - it's strong.
Build Support - although The Power in All of Us doesn't help pay for it, we have some pretty strong supports. Plus, I doubt your allies (other players) will complain if they get to bring something out as well.
Professor X - I actually added him quite late into this deck's development, but he's really good. We like to flip down (even if the only bonus is Ronnie Williams), and he is a , so it just works.
At this point, including 5 resource cards, we have 34/40 cards for our deck.
A pinch of pool:
Mulligan - I'll be honest. We don't use this card to its best ability, but we do have some nice synergies with it. We can use a card to use AE ability, activate Tic-Tac-Toe, store a card (probably another mulligan) under Plot Convenience, and spend a Stroke of Genius to play it. Plus, it's a !
Self Control, Self Confidence, and Self-Preservation are replacements for the original 3 resources, but we keep Genius for Moon Girl.
Healing Factor and Tic-Tac-Toe - I usually want to stay in hero form once I'm version 3 but I'll likely sustained some damage before I get there. These 2 combined from getting tough cards from New and Improved means I can stay in hero form almost indefinitely. This also means we can use Ronnie Williams for progress counters instead of healing, should we flip to AE.
Plot Convenience - provides some interesting utility with other players, and can serve as a deck thinner in the late game (putting Mulligan under it).
Other Notes:
I like to stick to 40-card decks for consistency so I like to cut Professor X if the villain is stalwart, otherwise, cut a Mulligan.
While this deck is designed for multiplayer, I see no reason why it wouldn't work in true solo.
