This deck has several different inspirations:

First, Vision is my favorite Avenger and his solo comic arc is my favorite Marvel stand-alone story.

Second, Marvel Champions is one of the games I enjoy most with my oldest daughter. Likewise, Vision's daughter, Vivian, is a very strong signature ally but suffers from her "youth" (low HP).

Third, since so many folks on MarvelCDB have already used some variation of "Daddy-Daughter Dance/Date" for their Vision deck titles, I got a chance to roll out a Star Wars reference instead!

I had been playing a Vision Justice deck for a while, taking advantage of Reboot and Ready to Rumble to untap and thwart heavily with Vision himself, but it was always a little lackluster because it couldn't take proper advantage of the other power-thwarter in the deck, Vivian.

Enter the now-prolific Sidekick archetype with its enablers Side-by-Side and Suit Up. Now we have a package that can 1.) tutor for Vivian, 2.) immediately buff her health, and 3.) give us access to upgrades that buff her health AND stats further!

Other Vivian/Sidekick decks have gone a little further by trying to make Vivian an Honorary Avenger and stick Sky Cycle on her, but I think the deck is strongest when we just run one upgrade per Suit Up and go all-in on a combination of Viv's natural stats and Vision's unique access to six tailor-made untapper cards. Unlike many Sidekick-ready Heroes, Vision also has a Support that can tutor for his Sidekick any time in 616 Hickory Branch Lane.

Instead of more Viv buffs, I put a full three copies of Moxie in to buff Daddy Vision whenever he changes forms--which happens almost every turn. This is a zero-cost investment that can yield a total of three extra THW or ATT with a hand full of untappers!

One thing any Sidekick deck needs to make sure of is that it has enough other Allies in the deck to keep Suit Up live even after you have your signature ally and Sidekick on the board. Machine Man was already an auto-include in my Vision decks because, in a pinch, you can tutor him with 616 Hickory Branch Lane as an extra card to spend. He's also not a bad substitute if Viv is unavailable since you can both tutor him and untap/heal him with Reboot.

Maria Hill and Nick Fury get the other two ally slots to help deal with Vision's hand size problem. Unlike most heroes, Vision only gets his full six-card hand size if he is in alter-ego AND his form upgrade is Intangible. If you have to deal with minions on the same turn you flip down, this is not always feasible, so being about to grab cards with one of your spare allies or filter a bad hand with Nick is essential.

Avengers Mansion is a third option for extra card draw or for dumping a clunky hand--a real possibility with this deck since some of his kit is extremely situational (Phase Disruption, Vision's Cape) or does not work with the Sidekick archetype (Mass Increase).

For economy, Deft Focus is an auto-include for Vision, and as an Avenger he gets access to Quincarrier. Since this build plays such a low curve, I ended up cutting Helicarrier, but your mileage may vary.

As for Player Side Schemes, Specialized Training is exceptionally good here for multiplayer because we actively want Front Line Specialist: our primary defensive gameplan is simply to take incoming attacks with the damage reduction from Intangible, so we want both the HP buff and the extra card. This leaves us free to pass the other buffs out to our teammates.

Where is Call for Backup, you may ask? Since this deck has three Suit Ups plus a fourth way to tutor for our signature ally, I am trying out the build without it. I do also benefit from a playgroup where Cable and other "Thwartership" decks bring along Call for Backup somewhat frequently. Again, your mileage may vary.

I hope other Daddy-Daughter Dancers enjoy this take on the Family Vision!
