What if we recur Sonic Rifle and play it for 0, every turn? What if we can also swap to Hero and still confuse-locking the villain?

New synergy combo just discovered!
- Turn 1
-
- 1.1 - We use Sonic Rifle's last charge from Hero form.
-
- 1.2 - We do all that we need or want on Hero form, then swap to alter-ego. Villain is confused and wont act.
-
- 1.3 - Nadia Van Dyne's G.I.R.L: shuffle back Sonic Rifle from discard to the deck.
-
- 1.4 - Leo Fitz: fishes back from the deck to our hand.
-
- 1.5 - We play it from our hand (later we can reduce its cost to 0).
- Turn 2
-
- 2.1 - We swap back to Hero form, do all that we need or want.
-
- 2.2 - We Use Sonic Rifle's first charge. If we have Invisibility Gear, Villain is confused and wont act.
Then next turn you repeat all the steps back from Turn 1 and keep the cycle forever running!.

On late game we have our own ecosystem dedicated to pay Sonic Rifle back at 0 hand cost:
Note that both Ingenuity and Quincarrier (along with Pym Particles), also generates valid requisites for Lay Down the Law.
Then we have a full 5-6 hand ready to be paid by itself alone. Villain is confused and wont act and you will progress through your objetives.

We will play as normal, mostly taking advantage of Nick Fury and Moon Girl (and Ironheart) to cycle our deck and search for important supports. They will also provide a must needed chump blocking since our only ways to defend ourselves are through Giant's (3 DEF) or 2x Rapid Growth only
Take advantage of Nadia's G.I.R.L ability: you can painlessly spend Jemma Simmons, Leo Fitz and Quincarrier to play one of them, and swap the rest back from the discard pile to the deck for another chance to found them back later.
Build Support gives extra value to your team and helps you play the unrecurring Helicarrier (or other 3-cost supports).
Leo Fitz can provide you other cards apart from late game Sonic Rifle:
- Bio-Synthetic Wings: enables Yaw and Roll and Soaring Acrobatics.
- Invisibility Gear: you can keep one in play just for emergencies (even play it on teammates').
- Wasp's Helmet: Giant form will divide among schemes as you will, her big base THW of 4 (5 with Heroic Intuition, 6 with Soaring Acrobatics, 7 with Surveillance Specialist).
Naturally, Jemma Simmons will also help us pay all your Fitz's stuff.

Your priority is stablishing your perma confuse-lock combo and reduce its cost to 1 or 0. Once that is setup, you can focus on playing the rest of the deck.
- Heroic Intuition, Specialized Training and Wasp's Helmet will boost your basic THW.
- Bio-Synthetic Wings will enable Soaring Acrobatics and Yaw and Roll.
- Helicarrier can be later donated to your team's eco.
- (7x) All your Thwart is cheap: 2x (2) Giant Help, 3x (1) Lay Down the Law, 2x (1) Yaw and Roll. This means you would be able to thwart from the beginning even if you assign most of your resources to building up.

These cards didnt pass the cut. Will list them along with suggestions from the commentaries' section:
-
Soaring Acrobatics is just an extra that both thins your deck and offers us a 4-DEF emergency block in Giant form, but since Bio-Synthetic Wings is medium priority here, you may want to take its slot for else from the below list.
-
Helicarrier is expensive but can help your team's eco too. You can remove it and make room for other cheapy cards like any of the ones below.
-
Ready to Rumble since we are flipping a lot and can accumulate a high base THW (7). Unfortunately, there was no room left on deck. Perhaps exchangeable with Yaw and Roll...
-
Swarm Tactics: same reason as above.
-
Vivian is for G.I.R.L, but we were short of deck space too.
-
Cypher unfortunately is , yet he might worth the inclusion, as Chamber that can become immortal with your lock! (suggested by
@Spider-Lout) -
Eyes in the Sky: may clear you from dealing with minions, but may also dont worth by exhausting your hero (and would be worth to add and keep Vivian just for it).
-
Lay the Trap: an auto include in every Justice deck if you ask me. Would definitively go 41x, just for it.
-
Clear the Area are GREAT because we can divide our Giant's THW to left a scheme with exactly 2 points left. They are perfect substitutes for Yaw and Roll
-
Extra copies of Skilled Investigator for your team's rejoicement.
-
Float Like a Butterfly: wont benefit you much, but may have an attack spammer in your team (like War Machine (Hero)), then add one copy to gift.
-
Beat Cop: already too high cost curve for them. Such a shame, I love them gals.
-
Your aggresion teammate may consider adding 3x Press the Advantage because they are gonna be free card draw on late.
I still consider myself newbie at deckbuilding, despite having modified around thirty in the backgrounds, and published a very few in MarvelCDB. Is anyone still commenting in decks from newbies? If so; your ideas, suggestions and constructive/respectful critizism are much more than apreciated.
This combo came to my mind by my own and is up to date, my proudest discovery so far. But @ScarletRhodey was the first one to publish a deck with its contents (just not focused around it).

Nov 27, 2025Thanks These changes you suggested are solid too! |
Nov 27, 2025You can do this lot Deadpool pretty easily, but it’s nifty to see this as a thought experiment for other heroes too! |
Nov 27, 2025This is an awesome deck! I love all the synergies. Have you considered adding Chambers as an ally? Having a consistent source of 2 damage and emergency block seems pretty good, although cost of 4 might be pretty steep. |

Nov 28, 2025People, im overwhelmed by the response :') I've spent last months building decks, publishing a few, and never dared with achieving any popularity for any of these ones. I'll be playing this deck, also with the changes and suggestions that some of you made, and consider publishing a refined version or link a private-public one with the changes. Stay tuned and again, many thanks for your responses <3
Justice is too awesome because threat is something that allways has to be adressed with, every turn, unconditionally. |
Nov 28, 2025This is really interesting! I dig the splash of aerial stuff too, it feels really thematic for her. I have barely played Nadia at all so this is a nice excuse to dust her off. Thanks for sharing! |
Nov 29, 2025Great deck idea. This one looks like fun. I really enjoy Wasp but being able to achieve a solid lock like this is really clever. Can’t wait to play it. —- Munkey |

Gotta include you that in the last section. Thanks! |
Dec 09, 2025No, wait. Invisibility Gear inst a PREPARATION. Sadly, Practiced Plan cannot target it |
Nice read. I enjoyed it. Wasp is one of favorites for solo play. I think I'm going to get this to the table, but probably pull the aerial package, and swap for prof x, face the past, and vivian.
