Hi welcome to the fourth in a series of decks I plan to build directly influenced by the amazing Get Up and Game! Perfect Match-Up series found here: https://youtu.be/1I2q3sT6FoA Please check out the channel and the video since I thought it was an amazing gift to the community and it inspired me to start playing Champions more regularly.

My goal with this series is to create a unique deck inspired by each challenge match-up in the video using all the suggested cards plus some of my own to create a deck that any player can use to check out the challenge. If you’re missing some cards from a deck please ask in the comments and I’ll do my best to find replacements from your collection so that you can have fun too! Hopefully I can build a deck that can beat the villain on both standard and expert. I’ll try to document any tweaks I made while playing the deck too.

The fourth challenge is Wasp V Taskmasker and it is confession time! I only ever played Wasp one time with the pre-con. I was riding high off Ant-man who has a top 5 marvel champions deck for me and I came away very disappointed in Wasp since I didnt enjoy flipping with her nearly as much. With this deck, I took Josh's advice and focused heavily on her alter-ego ability to push mental resource cards back into her deck. Not only did I become a Wasp fan, I took down Taskmaster once on Standard and Twice on Expert back to back to back.

The heart of this deck is trying to get at least 3 allies out so that you get the most efficiency out of Band Together and then start knocking them out of play with Command Team and Last Stand to either bring them back with cards like Make the Call and Med Lab or shuffle them back into the deck and redraw them. Ideally we want to get Moon Girl and Genius into the discard and then back into the deck with an alter ego action so that we can just draw cards and play allies for days. We also gain additional powerful allies from Taskmasters schemes and before you know it you'll have won! The large amount of threat required to lose the scenarios single scheme gives us plenty of breathing room to flip down.

I recommend keeping Stinger out at all times to make sure your Band Together is never blanked. I tend to try and keep 3 allies out though. Combine that with Quincarrier, Team-Building Exercise and Ingenuity and you should have no problem dropping allies like flies... err wasps i mean. Med Lab helps you keep an ally in reserve, The Triskelion keeps more allies in play and [R&D Facility] (/card/29020) helps you get the most out of them. Crew Quarters will also keep you topped off since you'll be taking some extra hits from Taskmaster when you flip.

Interestingly this is a deck where I recommend that you mostly prioritize your aspect and basic cards instead of Wasp's kit and use her kit as a back up to take care of specific issues like dealing some powerful Pinpoint Strikes or clearing a side scheme with Giant Help. I tend to flip more often to Giant form but Tiny form is especially useful for using your Pym Particles

Hopefully this deck will encourage you to try playing Wasp more. It certainly has my interest piqued!

This one makes me especially happy. Anytime I can help someone become a Wasp fan I feel like I’ve done my job :D. And the deck itself looks stellar!
