"But, I leave you with this thought... it is not the one with the greatest power which is important!! It is the one who uses his power wisely... in the cause of justice!" ~Thor
Hey everyone! I wanted to share my new favorite Thor deck, and honestly, the first one attempted with him in Justice.
Deck Overview
-
Build out your board state with Asgard, Quincarrier, Deft Focus, God of Thunderx2, Sense of Justice, and Team-Building Exercise.
-
Control threat with For Justice! and Yaw and Roll, while also summoning minions and generating resources with Defender of the Nine Realms and Infiltration.
-
Further cycle minions as tempo allows with The Raft to hit your "Have at thee!" activation in the villain phase.
-
By default, keep on the offense with your basic activations by attacking minions. You generate enough threat removal from your events.
-
When you're ready to push damage, trigger Lay the Trap and drop the Hammer on anything still standing in front of you.
Card Interaction Highlights
-
Team-Building Exercise can trigger on each of our allies, as well as 6 other cards in our deck, so it's great to drop early. It's also great for re-deploying Mjolnir after a hammer throw.
-
Infiltration + Overwatch is very efficient threat removal, and you can dial in exactly how you need, in case you aren't looking for a minion that turn.
-
If you use Show of Empathy, or otherwise have to face Loki without it, you can play Vivian to blank him and take him out.
Final Thoughts and Sideboard
-
With several allies at your disposal, you can probably handle being engaged with 1 or 2 minions for a few turns so you can hold out for a Lightning Strike. You've got 19 in the deck, plus 2x God of Thunder and a Quincarrier.
-
If you are facing lots of guard minions, you'll want to make sure to clear them before pushing damage and be weary of summoning more, unless you can lock most of them away in the Raft.
-
At 3-4 players, I'd swap For Justice! with Even the Odds, unless there are minimal side schemes in your scenario. You can also add some Skilled Investigators to support your friends.
While these newer cards are an obvious fit for a Thor deck, it's already one of my favorite in Justice. There are similar decks out there, so check those out if you haven't already. I love to see the variety on how everyone integrates new cards. But, if you give this one a try, I hope you have fun with it!
Peace!

I'm a huge fan or infiltration with interrogation room. Looks really fun!
