Ideally, you want a friend to give you Honorary Guardian. 45 cards is okay, we draw a lot and we don't want to see all doubles and One Way or Another on the same turn.
Solo version: Remove 1 C.I.T.T. but keep Knowhere. You can probably remove Heart of the Panther as well as it's gonna be harder to keep T'Challa alive. Another great ally like Professor X could help, but shouldn't be necessary.
Other Multi variant: Depending on your teammates' decks you might want to include more Float Like a Butterfly and/or Skilled Investigator. In 3+ players, drop One Way or Another altogether.
Overview :
- Play Style : Dora Milaje allies + Knowhere, readying.
- Difficulty : Medium
- Power level : Medium
- Recommended Player Count : 2+ (see solo version above)
- Ideal Aspect Partner : Any Guardian, Leadership or Protection.
Concept :
- We make use of 2 Guardian cards.
- Knowhere gives us an extra ally slot. Very handy with 3 slots taken by the Dora Milaje allies.
- And C.I.T.T. + 7 double resources allow Shuri to ready once every turn to trigger one more Special and potentially thwart a lot. Don't forget you will need a Honorary Guardian to use this card!
- At the end, we use the Dora Milaje allies alongside Sonic Rifles and Float Like a Butterfly to deal massive amount of damage every turn. Remember that Panther Claws and Vibranium Suit are attacks and thus increased by 1.
Other combos and how to play the deck :
-
Setup normally with the help of Moon Girl and Shuri's great economy. If you can, play 1 Dora Milaje ally early on, it will fuel The Elephant's Trunk. You can pass on other Dora for now though.
-
Then, keep the 3 Dora Milaje allies into play, and rotates Moon Girl and T'Challa (and Prof X if you included him) thanks to Knowhere.
-
You must play Build Support if you play solo because that's the only way to put Knowhere into play! In Multi it's still great because you are not guaranteed to be a Honorary Guardian early on.
-
Take Surveillance Specialist with Specialized Training and go up to effectively 5 THW with Shuri (including Heroic Intuition and Kimoyo Beads). Draw a lot with One Way or Another. Sink all your extra doubles into C.I.T.T.. Shuri LOVES to ready! :)
-
When our economy is running, we play Float Like a Butterfly and 1 or 2 Sonic Rifles (Shuri's AE ability can help!).
-
When we want damage we confuse the villain and attack a lot. It could also work by discarding Kimoyo Beads.
-
Ideally, we keep Heart of the Panther in hand and reshuffle Wakanda Forever! to redraw it for this big turn to trigger even more attacks :)
-
Don't be sad if one of your Dora Milaje ally dies, smile because it happened and just repay her later with all your doubles :p
-
Sidearms are great against retaliate X and brings extra damage. I cut to 2 copies that goes on Aneka and Ayo if possible, because Okoye is okay at thwarting if there is a retaliate X in play.
-
Ready to Rumble was really effective for me, even on turn 1 (!) because of how Shuri has to exhaust in AE.
Other cards :
- Sidearm could be removed but the deck is weak to retaliate and The Doras are semi-Voltrons...
- As I said in the beginning, Heart of the Panther is very good, and it synergizes very well with The Power in All of Us, but sometimes it's hard to keep T'Challa alive...
- More copies of Float Like a Butterfly and/or Skilled Investigator could be great in multi.
- More copies of Ready to Rumble were incredible in playtests but that's already a big deck... You could just cut it altogether I guess :)
- Same for Justice Served! really good card with Shuri but had to cut it.
- Professor X has became a bit boring but he's still really good in solo.
- Healing for allies is always appreciated so you don't have to repay your allies. You can run First Aid but a Med Team from a friend would be even better.
Anyway, enjoy, have fun,
and don't forget to drop a like/fav, it's always appreciated :)
