As the new Director, I'm thrilled to announce some exciting changes to this organization. From this day forward, we are known as X.H.I.E.L.D.

Don't worry, it's pronounced the same as before! The "X" signifies the pivot we are making: Away from the stiff bureaucracy of the old days and to the new outside the box thinking of tomorrow. It also represents the danger in our field, and our extreme dedication to complete our mission. We have a lot of work ahead of us, but together we will succeed.

Subject: DEADLINES!

As per my last email, you all know we are in crunch time. I'm going to need everyone to work double shifts to finish your tasks by the end of this phase. Simply Get Ready or utilize the Command Team if you need to. Whatever it takes, just get it done. I will Kick you into shape personally if necessary. Before you leave the play area, I need you to use up all of your hit points, so to speak. We are all about efficiency here at X.H.I.E.L.D.

I know I am asking a lot of you. Remember that you will have the R&D Facility at your disposal, and you can reach out to Occupational Health if you get injured. You must be ready at a moments notice if I Make the Call.

I am in the possession of a very valuable asset. In fact, it is the primary reason I am leading this organization. I have a Psionic Bond with said asset which allows me to materialize any resources we need instantaneously. Report directly to me if you need special funding, and you WILL get what you need, no questions asked. Grant Ward and Slingshot, I heard your requests, and your and will arrive by the time you receive this message.

One more thing. Unlike the last Director, I prefer to take a more hands on approach. I will be accompanying you on the battlefield. At first, I will lay low and thwart the enemy while you take care of business. We must maintain proper communication throughout the mission. Whether I tell you to Follow My Lead or Watch my Back, I want zero hesitation. Trust me.

Subject: You were right...

So far, so good. Took down some dangerous Expert Villains and made them look like common criminals. I think you are right, I have a knack for this.

The new agents Victor and Miles are learning fast. Both of them excel under Pressure. Slingshot drains a lot of my power counters, but you should stop worrying. I can control it now. Honestly, the faster I transform, the faster we win the fight. Grant Ward helps me with that too by taking an extra counter on the villain phase. I know you don't trust him, but I've got tabs on him. I can take him out if necessary.

I'm sorry. I know you want to help. But Scott, you aren't a part of this team. You have your own team that is relying on you right now. After I deal with this A.I.M. mess, you'll see me again. Promise.
