Multiplayer deck, the more the better. Alter-ego only, focused on recurring powerful cards. This is a trick deck that will take some explaining, but boy howdy is it fun at 4 players.
Domino Stays Home
And works the phones. Beyond Domino's AE ability and Pip the Pug, we won't be suing most of her kit. Play them if you have extra resources to thin the deck, or not. Here are the cards we will be using and abusing:
- Cameo is the new hotness in March of '26, and Domino is going to recruit Nick Fury (no, not that one... in fact no one will be playing that one). Nick is here to keep The Circe online, with one free ally per turn, out of turn if need be (I'll get to that in a minute). If you cannot get out The Circe, Nick can amp the Command Team
- Sidekick to give him 2 extra health and heal Nick every time Domino recovers, making him eternal. No Side-by-Side, cause it'd be useless as Alter-ego only.
- Afford Expensive cards with 3 copies of Meditation and recurring Jackpot!. You can share or save Jackpot using Resource Reserve. The initial iteration here used Recruitment Drive, but it was pretty weak.
- Alter-ego supports Pip the Pug and Weapon X can fish Jackpot back from your discard pile. Crew Quarters can heal the damage you took from Weapon-X.
- Alternatively, you can use Weapon-X to mill cards and maybe tuck some good ones under The Painted Lady for later. Make the Call, Meditation, Regroup, and The Circe (until you can pay for it) are great cards to stash away. Then use Pip to top-deck Jackpot to be guaranteed in your next hand of 6.
So what will we do from turn-to-turn? Time for...
Speed Dial
- Professor X and Cyclops will usually be in your hand or discard pile once things are rolling. Possibly stored under The Painted Lady, but that's as-good-as in your hand. Now you have two options
- Option 1: Play Professor X, grabbing Danger Room Training using Danger Room. Confuse the Villain and thwart for 4. Next play Cyclops and making an enemy vulnerable, readying Professor X with Utopia. Then thwart for another 4 and attack or thwart with Cyclops.
- Option 2: Play Cyclops first. You can play him out-of-turn using Make the Call, The Circe, or Meditation so that even if you're not first player, the whole table can benefit from +1 attack damage to target enemy. Cyclops gets Danger Room Training from the Danger Room and attacks for 4. Then play Professor X to Confuse the Villain and ready Cyclops. Thwart for 3 and attack again for 4.
- either way, Cyclops will be at 1 remaining health, and Professor X is destined to be discarded.
Cool Trick, but now comes the fun part
- Scenario 1: Regroup is on the table, and during the Villain phase, you block for 2 other people with Cyclops and Professor X. They both pop back to your hand to be ready for the next speed dial rotation. At the beginning of your next turn, use Domino's AE ability to fish Regroup back from the discard.
- Scenario 2: No Regroup. You either Block with Professor X with Cyclops. If you didn't block with Professor, he's now on the top of your discard pile when you start your turn. Grab him with Domino's AE ability, and play Cyclops with Make the Call. If you didn't block with cyclops, attack/thwart his last health away, then get him from your discard.
Hold on... I gotta look up the number
Some sideboard cards that I played around with, and worked OK, but didn't make my favorites were
- Children of the Atom and X-Force Recruit to make Domino an X-man/X-Force permanently and in Alter-ego. Alongside this would be The X-Jet and Uncanny X-Men. This was good, reducing the cost of the Speed Dial protocol, but it was tricky to set up. It does increase the end-game potential at the cost of early-game stall (playing these setup cards instead of others)
- Won't Stay Down also hinges on this. Once you've played X-Force Recruit on hero form, you can play (and use) Won't Stay Down, giving you another way to get your key allies from the discard pile. Fun. Powerful. But tricky to set up for limited benefit (since Regroup works better)
- X-Bunker and Build Support. Another card draw per turn is great, but I found that Domino was having to rely on others to bring this combo online. If someone else is bringing a lot of side-schemes, you could grab this for fun.
- same with Avengers Mansion if someone else brought Evaluate Threat... but Domino can't carry this side-scheme herself. Command Team is another S.H.I.E.L.D. support for Nick Fury to charge up, and it could be useful for one more ready of Professor X or Nick Fury, but it wasn't needed.
- if someone else is running Mutant Education or X-Men Instruction, you could swap Crew Quarters for X-Mansion. It serves the same healing function, but isn't an upgrade unless it provides someone with card-draw kickers.
DISCLAIMER: you may need to apologize to someone if they planned to abuse Nick Fury. He found Job security at Domino's switchboard as Full Time Liaison with The Circe. Benefits, including vision and dental. They need to look elsewhere for their interns.

Mar 21, 2026The Circe flies up and Fury rope-slides down says very calmly but with big I Told You So energy says "We just happened to be in the area, and it looks like you could use another ass-saving." and then the music gets really good. |

I'm glad I'm not the only person who discovered and then obsessed over this Cameo'd Nick Fury Circe combo.
It's such a great narrative beat, too: In the "story" of the card game, Fury flies in with reinforcements!
